"Obsession"

This pic has an interesting story. I started out with the girl, she was cute. I couldn't leave it alone though, I started adding a background, "she's in a room" I thought. But it didn't end there over a month I watched this picture evolve. It was becoming MY obsession. The little character this girl collects came from a pair of curtains in my apartment in Hiroshima. I was just looking at the pattern and HE came out at me.

SO...I added this weird Smiling Bear Face thing. All over the picture. Everywhere I could think of. Later while showing the pic to a church member (who also was a HUGE Disney Fan.) She said "That looks like Mickey, no, wait, it's Stitch right?" So I thought on it, I flipped the first consanants and thus Sticky Mitch was born, and the cute girl that I drew was obsessed with him like I was being "drawn into this pic, obsessing over completing it, which seemed to never end. The catch phrase came later as we were out proselyting, I read it on someone's front door and though "Uki-Uki, Waku-Waku Doki-Doki Shiawase" was the funniest things I'd heard in Japanese till that time (it translates to something like "EXTREMELY Thrilling BOUNCY type of HEART-POUNDING HAPPINESS!"), SO, of course, it wa PERFECT for this piece. Now I am finished... I think ... I haven't touched this picture in a long time, I got too afraid I was obsessing over it too much and going crazy in the process. I'm starting to think it may be cursed...
